Lincoln County Retired School Personnel met on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Ryan's Buffet Restaurant. The speaker for the program was Dwight Story, liaison between NCRSP and AARP, and Mary Bethel, AARP representative, speaking on changes in the state health insurance changes and the proposed health care plan proposed by President Obama.

LCRSP - the Lincoln County unit of NCRSP - is the North Carolina Association of Educators for retired school personnel. The LCRSP holds five general meetings a year - on the second Thursday on September, November, January, March, and May of each school year.
